Carrigart is a small village on Mulroy Bay in the North of County Donegal in Ireland, approx 23 statute miles from Letterkenny. It is the main village in the parish of Mevagh. Tradition says that the name came from Art's Rock (Carraig, in Irish, being a rock). This derivation is disputed.
